For 2011, The Fringe Files showcased brand new comedy whodunit spoof The Curse of Miss Fortune, written by British playwright Michael Starr and directed by Quintin Mitchell.
Traditional British 70’s satire meets Classic 50’s transatlantic noir, with a dollop of 80’s B-movie magic. Introducing The Curse of Miss Fortune, a minimalistic cross-genre satire comedy featuring a gullible couple, a sex-mad boss, a seductive femme fatale, an angry landlord, a flirty secretary and a cursed pig?!
Rehearsals took place at The Backwell Playhouse, Bristol (May to July 2011). Performance venues were at The Backwell Playhouse, Bristol (July 31st, 2011), The Hen & Chickens Theatre Pub, Islington (August 7th, 2011) & theSpaces UK @ Edfringe venue 53, Edinburgh (August 9th to 13th, 2011)

Whilst no awards were received, The Curse of Miss Fortune proved a success for The Fringe Files. With packed audiences received for both Bristol and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival main production run.
