For 2020, The Fringe Files will present sci-fi comedy The Spirit of Krud, the 2nd play in the Cosmic Capsules space series, by Michael Starr.

The Plot

Three neglected crew members on board an old rust bucket spacecraft, The Spirit of Krud, are tasked with nuking volatile space debris. Struggling with a lack of purpose, a misfiring AI computer and a egocentric commander, the crew are unexpectedly called into action where they must save the day, but will they succeed?

The Notes

The Spirit of Krud is the second play in the science fiction Cosmic Capsules comedy series written by Michael Starr. It is a stand alone sequel to the multi-award winning Planet of the Zers (2016).

For this production, The Fringe Files welcome back Michael Starr (writer / producer) and Seb Webber (sound tech) from the last show. Original members Ian Tapner (set design), Adam Holland (performer) and Quintin Mitchell (performer) all return.

New members Kirsty Elizabeth Johnstone (performer) and Daniel Wright (performer) join us for the first time.

The Timetable

This project is expected to kick start with rehearsals from December 2019 through to March 2020. Performances are likely to take place between March and May 2020.
